THE GIFTED CHILD!!!

I was inspired to write this story by a friend who has touched my life deeply.

Those who know me know that I am always talking about my son and his antics.  I call him my ‘miracle’ baby as there was a time in my life that I didn’t think I could get pregnant as I had been active for a number of years without conceiving (11 years to be exact and with the same partner).  I had never been on contraceptives a day in my life and added to that a medical condition diminished my chances.   About 4 months into my pregnancy there was this puss that came from nowhere and was like my Guardian Angel and I do believe it was guarding me from evil forces (ppl mi nuh like puss!! Dat ah di ongle time mi did fine misself like one das wen him mysteriously disappear bout 5 day b4 mi leff JA, mi bawl)

Let me share a few things with you…..On the night that my Uncle died we were at my mother’s house and as usual sharing the bedroom upstairs with my sister and my mom.  The little boy was restless all night and would not go to sleep only for us to get a phone call a few hours later that my uncle had died.  It was that same little boy who would NOT venture into my living room in Jamaica as he said there were ‘monsters’ out there (He was 2 at the time and I did not allow him to watch certain cartoons) and I believed him as whenever I had to go into the kitchen at nights I was fearful and would walk speedily past that area, holding my head straight.  I never sat in that area as I somehow felt that there was a presence there.  That child who on a trip to New York, while staying at my Aunt’s house would wake up crying at 2am EVERY morning (my mother and I knew that something was wrong as a ring belonging to my deceased grandmother turned black – as it always does whenever evil is near).   Di SAME pikney whey wake up won mawning an tell mi how him dream sey snake ah run him dung di VERY SAME night whey mi dream sey dem run mi dung to.  Di good ting bout it is dat when mi ask him if dem di bite  him, him sey no.

The leader of the church that I used to attend told me that he is ‘gifted’ and I believe her.  I strongly believe that he sees things that are to come as he has done some things that I have seen come thru.

Obara, let me ask you this….what can I do to help and protect a child like this?  How do I deal with it?   Readers do you have any suggestions?  Do tell

There are many children like this in all societies, the wonderful thing is when a parent recognizes this and nurtures it. Remember that we are all soul/spirits reincarnated into a new life and body, and a lot of us arrives here with some memory in tact, maybe we were priests or priestesses during another life,or a spiritual practitioner, whatever the case may be …I was one of those children. No one paid attention to my special gifts I was ignored, but of course I had powerful spirit guides who were with me and still are and they were my real parents, so they were the one to assist me as painful as it was. You ask how can you protect such a child…first I must congratulate you for being an observant and caring mother, to realize that your child is set apart (different), and that you are willing to keep him safe an help him understand his gift, because from what you have explained he is gifted. Before I answer you, let me tell you a story…..my sister who is spiritual herself, but tries to suppress it, had her first child a pretty little girl she named Samantha, from the moment Sam (her nick name) could talk she would say things like this “mommy the angel is here and he says to tell you good morning”. If we went out and returned home before we would get into the house, she would turn and wave goodbye with her hand and say “the angel says that he is leaving now he says good night”, we got used to this and were thrilled when we heard her speak of the angels..At the time when this was happening we were attending a spiritual church, if you read the post I did on ATTACTHMENTS, the woman in the story was the mother of the church, a very wicked witch, unknown to us at that time because she hid behind Jesus., and if you said Jesus to me at back then, you said everything. Believing that we were doing a good thing we proudly told the wicked witch of the west about our special Samantha and she shouted for joy and said how wonderful it was and that God has chosen her here on earth as his messenger. She urged us to bring her along to the next service which we did. When we got to the service the next day, church was in full swing and she (the mother) guided us to sit in the front with the baby, about forty-five minutes after we had gotten there, the mother picked up the little girl and laid her on the ground and walked over her!!! three times back and forth!!….Samantha was never the same again, she never spoke of the angels, never gave us messages, ,ever spoke of the things that had made her so spiritual in the eyes of those who knew and met her….Jamaican people has a saying  “tricks in trade matches box inna business”, I never really understood what this meant but somehow it seems appropriate here. To quote a revivalist when I told her what happened… “de dranco ded dawg ooman walk ova de pickney wid har ole duttie front”. Who knows, she might have even had her period then. I will be posting about Spiritual children in the future and how to grow them with balance, where I will tell about my own daughter and my experience with her. now back to you reader, protect this child by keeping him close and never tell anybody about his gift, do not brag or boast and if you meet someone spiritual, use you intuition to assess and see if this person is genuine first before you ask about the child or start out by telling them about  him as if it was someone elses child. Later on if you are to confess the truth a true spiritual person with no bad intention will understand your reserve. Please remind me to post a story about the girl who had spirit and it made people think that she was crazy and so her mother took her somewhere and the practitioner told the mother in order to help her he has to have sex with her,(she was sixteen at the time) and so he did, over and over again, which was a total lie!!!! keep reminding to tell that story…. as usual share your own story…

“Flog my erring child” comes from the lips, “don’t hurt him/her” comes from the bottom of the heart…Yoruba proverb.

[…] Also, spirituality, which Jamaicans once dominated in knowledge has now been weakened by fool fool practitioners deceiving people because of lack of knowledge, and this I attribute to elders who did not pass along their knowledge rightfully as they should have. Or there are some who will realise that a person is gifted, and they, themselves, who are supposed to be knowledgeable elders use badmind and cut down the person, stagnate them, or change their gift (read this post). First, that picture is on point! Secondly, is there any residual effect on Samantha and now that your a learner practitioner how you feel, or have you found an explanation as to what happened to Samantha?

Your advise to the mother is also on point.

Obara I remember that day well down to what Sam was wearing, that woman is wicked I can’t stand her, but she will be dragged to hell if its not done already, she will have all types of things done to her if its not being done already….After that day Sam was a changed child we loved hearing this innocent speak of angels and giving us messages, looking up at the ceiling playing, laughing with those that we could not see….I don’t know what I was thinking, after seeing this big stinkin uman walk over mi pickney wid har dutty… Read more »

Obara I know this is probably off topic but something just crossed my mind. Why do Jamaicans pass a child back and forth over the casket of his/her dead parent?

As usual another great story….Love the picture.

Its sad that they are so many wicked people around and I do believe the story about Sam. Someone once told me that when I had gone to see someone to ‘help’ me with my problems, they saw that I had a gift and supressed/took it away. Is this possible Obara? I believed her then because I went from being the ‘fiery’ me to a soft ‘fraidy-fraidy’ smaddy…..Do tell Obara
