A wonderful day to everyone! This is my prayer for you all today and all the days to come. Although in truth all our days cannot be wonderful or else we would have a short life, but we can however pray not to see devastation, and to have victory if problems should arrive. Last night was spectacular, our discussions which we have been having for the past two nights have me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. I thank all who were on the board last night and I have learned much from everyone, and it shall continue. Learning and sharing is fun.
Yw, I do not know what to say about you. You are indeed a man of exceptional character and someone who I thank Olodumare for bringing into our lives here on this blog, Embracing Spirituality, and I should also thank your dear wife. I could read your posts all day every day, and I urge you to keep sending them in, you are appreciated, Ousn will bless you, ase!. You have now got us meeting in the nights with thought provoking subjects (you did it, yes you did), even cgoh was with us last night and we have not seen him in a while. Here again Yw has put together a topic which we can discuss about and add our own thoughts and questions. The Intersection of Material and The Spiritual Plane. Well Yw, you just stepped into my backyard, because these are topics that I love very very much.
There are many realms as you all now or perhaps do not know throughout time and space, and within these realms are beings which resides there. Some of these beings have never been to our earth realm and that is for many reasons, I will perhaps do a post on that in the future, and some beings interact with human beings for many different reasons. If you get a plain glass of water and put it down, wait for a few minutes then go back and look at it, most often you will see bubbles, plenty bubbles floating in the glass, these are how beings are within time and space and some have the ability to materialize into form, maybe not human form, but because of our human limitations (mind limitations as human beings), we may not even understand or be able to imagine these forms or what they may look like, some are what we would see as grotesque looking, and yet they are very benevolent.
Bare with me, I am getting somewhere, and at the risk of Cami saying that I have written to long a introduction, let me not linger on certain things and get to the point. (Cami, mi jook yuh hush). The soul of the human being never comes to earth, never. The first matrix, explained this somewhat, where the beings are in something akin a spaceship or something like that (figet de ship part, that is not a part of my explanation), when they come to earth, they are plugged into something like a machine and then they materialize to earth, sort of like a holographic figure. If you did not see the Matrix 1, the first one, de rest ah garbage, please watch it, it tells a lot of the spiritual realm and of the earth realm and many other things in between. The body which is plugged in represents the soul, as shown in the Matrix the Movie. Now I am not saying that this is exactly how it happens, as a matter of fact I am certain it does not happen that way, but for our understanding the movie had to show it like that (or perhaps they also are not sure how it is done), but what you really need to know is that our soul forever stays in time and space, it never comes to earth. forget the BS of someone selling their soul, it can never happen.
The soul is like the breath of the spirit, and the spirit is what motivates the body. When the body dies, the spirit lives on and ascend or descend, depending its next journey into time and space, the soul being somewhat like its engine, or as I have said before, its breath. The spirit is allowed to come to earth, the soul never comes, its access to the earth plane and other realms is through the spirit, it can be described as a over Lord even. When you feed the spirit you feed the soul, when you access the spirit, you access the soul. When you dishonor the spirit, you dishonor the soul. Two are together but separate from each other, because while the spirit is consciousness, the soul is super or extreme consciousness which the spirit will never comprehend and would not even try to.
Within every human being we can however feel the beat of the soul through what is known as our solar plexus, also known as the pit of the stomach, that is the only connection the flesh has to the soul. Jamaican people would say, mi belly bottom. There is a very long and intricate explanation to this, things you will never see in any books, but as we grow and open up more, I may, one day explain this thoroughly or when we get the school, these things will be taught there to worthy students. The Spirit is connected through the medulla oblongata, or as Jamaicans would sey “nuh lick him inna him neck back”, lol. Jamaican have sense, but…..aye sah. Meditation is needed to understand the Solar Plexus to a certain degree which we humans are allowed to access or understand. We will explore this further. Cami ah you shut mi upppp!, lol
Ok let me stop here, I just wanted to share something, it maybe a little off the topic, but Cami mek mi fraid fi type, mi easy fi shame enuh. Please enjoy this post as I am sure you will, I certainly did. Also add your own thoughts.
Intersection of Material and the Spiritual Plane, by blogger YW
I wanted to start this post by saying that I do not KNOW anything. I believe, think, and have an opinion on many things but I cannot claim to know (only in regards to myself). Alright, for this post I will try to continue, and expand on, the concept of cognition. In the last post on Perception – http://embracingspirituality.com/2014/09/04/communication-perception-and-cognition-a-curious-look-by-blogger-yw/ – Cami mentioned “…data which suggest that babies are cognitive of the spiritual realm until about age 2…” I think I remember reading or hearing about that somewhere but could not seem to find it on the internet, so I will talk of what I believe.
As mentioned before, I believe that we are all a part of the Universal Consciousness before we are born and when we “die”. While not exact, this is in essence a part of the spiritual realm. When we enter the material realm a part of us (our soul) is still a part of the spiritual realm – that never changes. A newborn is still aware of the spiritual realm upon entering the “world” but as it/he/she/we age we relinquish contact or communication with this realm as we embrace this material plane and all that comes along with it (*materialism-excessive concern with things of a material nature, i.e. money, sex, fame, etc.)…. To me, because the spiritual realm is where consciousness resides, it is where we get the parts of our soul and a bit for our mind. The material realm is where we get the components for our bodies and here again, a bit for our mind. The common denominator between both realms is that bit we get from both (spiritual and material) for our minds….This would be the area (our minds) that we need to develop to perceive the spiritual realm.
Now, if the spiritual plane and the material plane exist in the same space how would we differentiate between the two? Well, it is easy to perceive things in the material plane because information is given to us. – Caution here because we are taught how to perceive in the material realm (parents, teachers, etc). – Therefore, there is a basic level of perception, in which we use only our five senses without adding cognition to the mix. In essence, this is looking at things on the surface. A good analogy is that of a body of cloudy water – lots going on under the surface, if we would just look. Sadly, some refer to this surface level as reality. It is my opinion, however, that reality is much, much more than what we see on the surface…
To perceive things on the spiritual plane, we need to develop and utilize cognition. As stated in the aforementioned discussion on perception, cognition (used to mean 6th sense) may be viewed as an amplifier to our five senses, which impacts our ability to perceive things around us. Basically, developing and utilizing our cognitive faculties is what we would need to do to perceive things in and of a spiritual nature. I am currently working on thoughts on the possibilities of adding cognition to each of the basic five senses. What I am wondering about is if various abilities or gifts depend on a higher level of perception that comes from cognition added to a certain sense. Again, to clarify…if ability to perceive auras come from enhanced sight or if perceiving spirits has to do with sight, touch, or hearing. Touch and sound because of vibrations…Will have to put a pin in this thought…. Okay, let me try to regain my thoughts here.
Hmmmm….So, how do we develop cognition and utilize it along with our basic five senses? Bwoy, I don’t have a definitive answer for you but I have opinions, thoughts, and beliefs. I know this may sound like a broken record but: look within (develop insight). A. Try looking in a mirror and looking deep within your own eyes. Keep doing this until you ask yourself, “Who the hell is that?” I know it sounds crazy and it just might be because my understanding of the word “crazy” is simply different from the norm. Do any of you know anyone named Norm? (Sorry, bad joke). B. Try taking a walk as close as you can to nature (without encountering any bears or tigers, or such, especially the hungry ones). Focus all your energy on using your five senses; one at a time. See all you can, define all the scents in the air that you can detect, etc. C. Try to recount some of your experiences and encounters for the day past (over time, go further back as far as you can go). Recall as much detail as you can. Evaluate your mood and then query the reason you felt as such. D. Be quiet and still for at least 5 minutes a day. Clear your mind, breathe deeply, and “feel around” for tension in various parts of your body, then consciously decompress. Doing these things will help to get your mind calm and more in tune with your body as well as your spirit. E. Question yourself, your surroundings, and all that you know. Assess the reason(s) why you hold the beliefs that you hold (religion, abortion, prostitution, democracy, socialism, everything). Move away from “group think” and have conviction in what you believe for yourself. In doing this, I believe, you are separating yourself from the constraints of the material plane which clouds access to the spiritual plane. In my opinion, this grants you basic access to the spiritual realm.
Now, you have done all these things and feel confident in your liberation from the shackles of the material world. You have attained a basic entrance to the spiritual realm. Be careful at this point because we are human and must humble ourselves (be weary of arrogance, ego, and pride) and keep in mind that: 1. we can never know everything; there is always someone greater than us, 2. We are human and are a part of the material world even when “awake”, 3. As in the material world, there are various points of view in the spiritual realm. One does not necessarily discount the other. You now have to be able to operate within the realm of possibilities.
I will address dreaming specifically because most of us remember bits of our dreams. Dreaming, in my opinion, is our spiritual mind groping around for the spiritual aspect within a particular experience or observation that our material mind cannot quite comprehend. As we become more attune to our spiritual side, our dreams make more sense to us. To me the sky is the limit as to what we may be able to access, develop, or harness. Here are some thought (s) to leave you with: If we are all a part of the Universal Consciousness and we all have a spirit (our soul) which powers our bodies, then spirits must be real. AND if spirits are real and we share some common factor (our spirit), then it becomes highly important for us to honour our ancestors and various spirits that guide us because they are around and a part of our lives – even if many of us cannot see them (no, I cannot see them either – but maybe with time and experience)….
