The female counterpart of a Babalwo in the Ifa tradition. She has knowledge and wisdom of the Ifa tradition, she is able to chant Odu Ifa and is able to manipulate and cast Ifa (divine) using the Ikin. Unlike the Babalawo, a woman can only be an Iyafa when she is older and no longer able to bear children.
