    • Obara Meji!
I greet you with gratitude for the details that you’ve shared….den yuh stop braps!
Due to how mi visual, the eye of my mind deh deh a follow every action and den all a sudden, mi jus reach back to weh mi deh an si seh a di phone mi a luk pon inna mi hand.

Mi jus have one likkle question, have you ever experienced an initiation that was stopped at the Adande? If so, are you able to share what could have led to that and how it was addressed?

    • “Everything in life is negotiable, even death. The only thing that is certain is change, and that is the very reason why everything can be negotiated.” Very true. I realized this when I dug deeper into spirituality and I realized there is a price to be paid for everything only if one is willing to go down that road.

This post reminded me of when I started my journey and you writing about your Padrino, a Cuban man also reminded me of when I came across this blog years ago(Time Flies).
I remember spending a whole year reading just motivational and personal development books and listening to podcast then in January the next year I came across this great blog “Embracing Spirituality” at the early hours of the morning while searching for answer to a particular spiritual work which I prefer not to say here. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT to SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT. Not coincidence.

IFA TRADITION with the help of this blog (I have read every article in this blog)transformed my entire life. It didn’t just changed my life, it entered my soul, it entered my heart, it entered my being, my spirit. Ifa have freed me from “The Shackles Of Deception”

With the help of this GREAT SPIRITUAL ENERGY / TRADITION called IFA, Even the obstacles on my way, I now predict them long before those that will bring them to me will start to think about them. I now plan for betrayal, I plan for backstabbing, I also plan for reunion & forgiveness long before they happen. I now expect nothing, I expect anything, I expect everything”- That’s one of the beauties that lies behind this great TRADITION. It opens one’s eyes to see the world differently. To understand humanity differently. To journey through life differently…

Thank you Ma’am for always PROVOKING my thought. I remember I was Naive and Egotistical when I first came here, but now with your blog and seeing your messages in my life experiences, a lot have changed. Change is definitely Certain.

      Stay blessed Obara Meji.
      Peace, Love and Light ✌

    • You are welcome my dear, thank you.

    • Thank you my darling! Blessings to you and yours

    • Ase!

    • This is a beautiful post maám. I smiled through reading it, and I have read over and over.

I remember the rain that came without a sign that day. It almost blew off the roof and everyone was happy.

I remember the presence of my spiritual family and how you identified and notified me of their presence.

I know you cannot describe too much, because what is sacred must remain so. But this post gives me a sweet nostalgia.

*Now, if one should understand the whole philosophical, metaphysical, metaphorical, theosophical understanding of Ifa they would know and understand that this sits at the very peak of the pyramid. -This is absolute truth, as I have realized. Ifa teaches one to be physically&spiritually clean, or I would say “righteous” If a teaches one to deglamorize, be patient and detach.

These are things I have been learning to inculcate into my life. It helps to feel lighter from the inside.

A lot of people think Ifa is magic, and it makes them impatient. If you’re in a hurry, then Ifa might just not be for you.

I honor you maám, and I honor the ancestors for paving the way.

PS: I thank my Ori for lading me to you. And I thank you for being kind and also being my GODMOTHER.

Iba Obara Meji!!! Iba Orunmila!!! Iba Egungun!!! Iba Gbo Gbo Orisha!!! Iba Olodumare!!! Ase Ase Ase.

Love and light to you and yours maám.

      • Ase, Ase, Ase!!!!! Ah Kay, yes O, I remember now, there was torrential rain for days during your own initiation! our feet were muddied but we were in the rain and all carried on. It was a powerful day, oh my, how can I forget.
        Iba Orunmila!!!!

    • You will know it when or if you initiate Ifá

    • Hi Obara,

This is a beautiful and thought-provoking piece on the Ifa-Orese initiation process. You shared your deep understanding and appreciation for this ancient tradition’s spiritual and symbolic elements. It’s amazing to think how much wisdom and knowledge have been passed down through the generations and how they still affect our lives today. You are indeed blessed to experience this tradition with knowledge and power. I don’t know much about this tradition.

However, it does sound wonderful, and as you said, I’m blind to Ifa because I’m one of the “humankind that walk this Earth…faced daily with things that are happening within the invisible world, but because (my) consciousness is not on the height of understanding certain things (I’m) most often blind to it.”

Obara, I just love your posts. I’m always learning something new.

    • My people are Yoruba. My great grandfather was an esteemed Babalowa, and I have others (Babalowa and Iyanifa) on both sides. This was a great write-up, Iya. Ase

      • Ibeji thank you for this comment I slightly worried when I made this post because I always write from a Metaphysical point of view and here I took it to that level where I broke things down that many that are not traditional practitioners would understand. I intended to go deeper but I didn’t because the minds that it would take to be able to understand perhaps are not here

  • What Are the Differences? Ancestors, Witches, Spirit, Cosmic, Celestial et al. What if I told you that you are never alone? That you are always being watched? What if I told you that you only see ghosts if they want […]

    • Thank you again and again! I’ve learnt so much from you since 2020 when I stumbled upon this blog. My question tho is,is there a difference between our inner spirit and our soul? Is the ori different from the soul?

      • Hi Precious, wow. We are going to need another post to answer these questions. Very good questions by the way.

1: Yes, there is a great difference, and this difference I have found is not known to many, so I am currently writing a book to explain what is the spirit and how it differs from the soul. But what I can say now is that your inner spirit, which is in your consciousness, is also different from that spirit that animates the body. Your inner consciousness is the engine of your subconscious which itself is Deity or your own personal Deity, and functions in every area of your life, including your conscience.

2: Yes, the Ori is definitely different from the Soul. Your Ori is more likened to your inner consciousness. However, the Soul is much greater than this (as in explanation), and it does not dwell within the body as so many people erroneously believe. The Ori, too, is not within the body but is aligned to the body. We are plugged into it and it is plugged into us.

    • “Well, this dutty gal Witch always wishes evil on me and my family and won’t leave us alone”
You made me laugh with this Lolol, behave. Lololol

    • Greetings Obara!

As usual, yuh gwan wid yuhself
I read the entire article, however I’m intrigued by the concepts of Spirit
My question is in relation to that category:

“the Spirit of a newborn enters at the moment of birth. When this happens, the child lets out a scream/cry. This sound is the Spirit which has entered the body, and now in form, can be perceived as a sound that human beings can hear. The Spirit has now made this mass of matter a living, breathing thing.”

You have described Spirit as a plural “construct” based the layers of “composition”

From a spiritual perspective, when a baby is “alive and kicking” – how is it accessing life without the fusion of Spirit as a vibrational energy?

In response to an earlier question you highlighted the inner Spirit as a part of consciousness and Spirit as life force energy….How many layers are there?
What are the functions of the other layer/s?
Is it possible that layers unfold throughout the process of conception to birth?
Is it that layers diminish throughout the journey of life?
How can the layers be strengthned or weakened?

      Blessings

      • 1- When the fetus is in the womb it can be looked at as any other organ the mother has inside her body. The pregnancy is the body developing a being, a human is being formed, however it has no spirit. The spirit travels with the mother. So like the heart it (an organ inside the body), moves and kicks and shows signs of life, or like the blood which runs through our veins or like the stomach which aids in digestion, this being (fetus/organ) inside the body will move and act human but is not fully a “human being until it is delivered and fused with Spirit. It will cry once the fusion happen (coming to Earth is like being sentenced to Prison, the Spirit that has just arrived is not happy to be here). I have explained this before in another post

2- The layers are limitless and are so due to the frequency the Spirit itself Carries and this is due to the amount of incarnations it may have had to our planet or others or if it is a volunteer or other. So it is hard to say how many layers because it depends on the consciousness

3-The functions of the layers are many and I will speak more in them in the book to come

4-Yes, because the spirit travels before the form is born and this is a layer of the being that is to come itself. However the consciousness of the fetus which walks with the mother travels back and forth through dimensions while the fetus is preparing to be born, it travels its consciousness (which splinters for lack of a better word) but never leaves the mothers side thus having other parts of itself journey instead, I hope you get this.

        5-No the layers never diminish
6-They can be weakened through thoughts if the host spirit and strengthens through the awakening and strong positive vibration of the host spirit living on certain planes

    • Thank you so much Ma for another informative piece. Looking forward to the book, which will be a real blessing to us. I particularly found the part about witches/wizards being the negative aspects of ourselves very intriguing. So my question is, given that everything is duality, which beings / entities exist as the positive aspects of ourselves?

      • Our awakening and our conscious rising gives way to cosmic beings sending many different helpers, teachers, enlightened guides, healers, and more to light the path for our way.

However, negative or malevolent beings are also our teachers and they teach through negative experiences the humans have throughout their journey here.

Our positive traits will lead to the opening of our consciousness but this is also aided by our negative ones which often lead the path. In other words we of experience such first.

Remember Earth is a School and can also be looked upon in as a prison and in the prison aspect of it, our positive traits (as well as understanding the lessons learned from
Experiences) will eventually lead us to self realization and self mastery, and eventually free us.
Us understanding why we are here and our purpose, however we do not self realize on our own, involve forces are there to guide and assist us.

    • Blessings Vincent

    • Ase! Thank you

    • Peace and Blessings

    • Nice to see you here Marj

    • And you will

    • Blessings to you also my dear

    • I actually read this article the day you posted it but my spirit told me to wait for some days and come back to read it again. Even though it wasn’t easy to return back here to read again because of how busy I am lately, I just had to create time to do so today.

This Article is very EDUCATIVE. I’m certain it will be difficult for anyone who is deeply asleep or who is not spiritually knowledgeable to an extent, to understand this article. Thank you Ma’am for this GREAT PIECE.

I think there so much more to write about relating to this Article, because there is so much to know. I hope you write a PART 2 of this.

By the way, you are such a GREAT WRITER and EDITOR. And such an exceptional STORY-TELLER.

      God bless you Ma’am.
      Stay blessed.

    • With obara….., It’s never a dull moment
.. whenever I see Ur post,I dive into it like one who have found a huge fish in the ocean. I just saw this post today. Maybe I never got the notification from my email the day u posted it. Thanks so much for the spiritual knowledge. Blessings

    • Thank you for the commmet and welcome to this space Manwitch. I am very glad you shared this with us, we are a very loving and welcoming community here, go ahead and settle right on in.

    • Ase O! Thank you my dear

    • I am.very happy that you seem to understand the post on a deeper level my dear Eduudamisi. The Yoruba language being tonal when spoken is like a song and sound resonates best within the Cosmological space.

The ancient Yoruba man seem to have figured this out hence why the Classical Yoruba (not Lagos Yoruba) when spoken reaches heaven so quickly.
English which Carries the lowest vibration once had tone but to dumb the mass down it waa removed
