ISESE LAGBA – A CELEBRATION OF YORUBA TRADITION AND NATIONAL HOLIDAY

Aboru Aboye oooo!, I greet you all in the language of Ifa and of all traditional people, from the holy Odu Ogunda Meji. Today, August 20th 2016, all Orisha People in Nigeria and around the world will celebrate Isese day (e-shay-shay), which is Day of Tradition. Today in Nigeria all Babalawo's, Iyanifa's, Olorishas and everyone who practices the traditional way of life which is the practice, worship and veneration of Ifa/Orisha will celebrate this day for all its worth. The appropriate greeting for this day is Isese Lagba (E-shay-shay-Lag-ba) which means tradition is the best way, or tradition is on top of all religions. After someone greets you "Isese Lagba," you will answer Isese Lagba Gbogbo Wa (E-shay-shay- Bug-bo Wa!) which means tradition will stay with us always. ...

PLEASE HELP LIGHT THE WAY FOR THIS YOUNG LADY

Hello everyone, on Thursday I received a text from one of my bloggers Lincoln. All who are regulars here on Embracing Spirituality, whether they comment or not, are familiar with our Lincoln. The text was that a young lady of which he was her coach, and father figure to, had died in a automobile accident. I felt Lincoln's sadness and pain through his text, her sudden death had an impact on him. I wanted to let him understand that the crucial thing to do now was to go into some serious prayers for her and to light a white candle for her in assisting her to go on her journey. I wanted to tell him that it will take forty five days for her to get to Judgement hall, but first she had to make it across the river. I wanted to tell him, to pray that she gets to the river, that she go along with her group, instead of backing away and trying to get home (her earthly home) seeing that her passing was sudden and tragic. Most often when they go suddenly, and they realize that they are suddenly jolted out of their physical vehicles, they cannot accept it, and may want to find their way home, often staying behind or running away from the group who came to take them across the river (sometimes very rough) which everyone must pass. Some more advanced spirits will pass through fire, but this is rare, very rare. ...
