Greetings all and sundry! The topic at hand today is a very important one. I have often mentioned “competent diviner” or spiritualist, if ever and when ever you choose to get a consultation, reading, or seek spiritual aid. In reality, a true diviner, him or herself, is the oracle, and if questioned or asked to tell about themselves, they will relay a life of suffering in some way or the other. For the third eye to develop and discernment come into being, suffering must be part of the story.
So in this post I will use the word “divination”, which includes reading all forms of oracles, from tarot cards to stones to shells to everything.
We are in an age where everyone and their mother, grandmother and the nanny are diviners and workers of Spirit. It makes sense, because we are in a new era because of the Shift so discernment is on the rise through consciousness expansion. And kudos to those who realize that they are gifted and are using their gifts to serve others.
Even though people are waking up more than ever, unfortunately, not all who says they are, are called to the Work.
For many are called, but few are chosen, and this should be translated. What I mean by this is, all of the human race are gifted, and all gifts is for one purpose: to serve. But everyone does not have the same gift, or, let me say not everyone is here for the same purpose.
So there are those who are here to see, (to be an oracle) and this differentiates them from the rest. (This is also why some diviners are gifted to see, but can not provide solutions, and others are gifted at both).
When “the Call” comes, the person will have signs and symptoms that will lead them to their purpose eventually, but at first they won’t know they are being Called. But the Call comes through very difficult suffering, which sometimes, can even include near death situations or even madness. The Path they have to take to wake them up stirs all the memory they have come into the world with in order to spread light to the world. But the Path is slippery, wet, dark, and filled with pins and needles and nails, and they will have to walk through it cold and hungry.
Of course, this is not literal, but suffice it to say, it is not an easy road (according to Buju).
The suffering is a reminder that we do not come to this world for comfort. We come to experience, to remember and to do our work. So a pretty princess who has had comfort all her life can’t just go on TikTok with an oracle to tell everyone about their life if she has never walked through fire and survived it. This that I am saying is actually written in the Christian Bible in the story of Elijah and Elisha, of the story of Ezekiel and many more prophets, and even Master Jesus who begged his God to remove the bitter cup when he realized that Crucifixion was around the corner for all the good that he had done.
This is my perspective on the Call. There has to be a calling before the Work.
So… how do you choose a competent diviner?
How to Choose a Competent Diviner
1- First begin with how you feel. — Trust your instinct. It never lies. Its that first feeling that you have in any situation. That thing that comes to your mind softly but intensely.
2- He or she is not competent if they brag or boast about what they perceive to be their accomplishments.
3- The energy of the Diviner should calm you and be reassuring.
4- If they did not solicit you. — The most competent ones are often difficult to get to, because they protect their energy from feeders (people looking to feed off their knowledge), and most often these people can only be discovered through referrals or chance. The competent ones can often feel reluctant to do this work.
6- You never feel judged. — The energy that passes between the two of you is one of safety. The diviner feels relaxed and safe, and so does the querent. Safety is an energy here. There is an alignment between the two of you, and it shows that there is a connection, and from henceforth there is a duty by the diviner to direct the querent to a particular place of “all is well” regardless of the outcome. This explains energetically, “I’m home” or “I’m in the hands of someone who will help me, if even with words.“
Listen to the energy that passes between you two.
7- They advise and guide, but never tell you what to do. — If circumstances are dire, and you need to make a choice after hearing something in the divination, the competent diviner never chooses for you. The choice should be yours because you have free will, you have the power to choose left from right, right from wrong, this is especially so when it comes to revenge. An incompetent diviner will remove the choice and tell you exactly what to do, but that is not his/her job, and once they do that, they will have to answer to the Universe according to Law.
Unfortunately, in our society, people like drama when it comes to spirituality, so if the diviner doesn’t have a sense of flair (or “mix up” as we would say in Jamaica), then people think you are not authentic. Like back in the days with the infamous Miss Cleo, who used to shout “Call mi now!” and hinted at gossip being exposed through divination, but later on the world found out that she was just an actress. No disrespect to her. May she rest in peace.
God is not the author of confusion, and a truly gifted person leads quietly, not loudly. Unfortunately, it is the public that allows for this because they want to hear that Marlon is cheating on Susan. Many incompetent diviners have created chaos in homes and relationships with lies to entertain or impress listeners.
8- If the diviner uses fear. — If they say things like, “Oh my god!” or “Oh no, this is terrible” or “Why didn’t you come before?” They are trying to induce fear. A competent diviner is there to soothe your nerves and find the solution, and find Truth as much as possible. And if there is no problem, then he or she must not be shy in telling you that all is well. You just got a spiritual check up.
9- The diviner should not reveal everything he sees — This is because there are some things that humans have to experience in order to get to where they are going. A person may ask, “Will I marry in 5 years?” The competent diviner may see the marriage, yes, but before that day comes, the person will step on some hot coals. So the competent diviner may say, “Yes, I do see marriage, but getting there depends on how you live your life because nothing is set in stone”.
This competent diviner has used wisdom because if they warn of all the trouble that comes before the marriage, they will induce fear or worry. But most often, it is not the diviner who withholds information, but the Source who keeps certain parts of your life a mystery from both the diviner and you. We can not know everything. Some things must be experienced. The diviner should not make up what he doesn’t know– we are just translators!
10- Competent diviners uses idioms, metaphors, analogies or storytelling — And then there are those things revealed only to you. Most often things will be revealed to you in the form of metaphors so that only you can understand it and keep your own privacy, even from the diviner, himself.
Yes, even though you sit before a diviner, things you wish to keep private will be kept private by Spirit. It will be told to you in hidden ways that only you understand, and not the diviner.
Tips For When You Get a Divination
1- When you get a divination, you are opening up yourself to the diviner, like someone visiting a doctor. But the competent diviner will always tell you only what you need to know. This is why it is important to choose carefully who you open your Head to. Also what you need to know is what is currently playing out in your Destiny Book, most often not what is bothering your mind currently, that’s just a filler in your life.
2- Divinations should be every 21 days. There is a reason for this amount of time that I won’t share for now.
3- When you leave a divination, you should leave having learned something new and with a renewed hope and greater understanding.
4- If you don’t connect with what the diviner is saying, it doesn’t mean that they are not competent. It may mean that the frequencies are not aligned between you and the diviner in that moment, so the Higher Self won’t open the gate to speak. This diviner is just not the right person to read you.
5- A competent diviner does not pit you against anyone, nor do they preach to you their own beliefs, doctrine or dogma. They should know that everyone has their own path, and it is only for them to choose. A competent diviner seeks peace, not chaos. That diviner works to balance your life, not wreck it.
6- Be careful of “wandering about” (going from diviner to diviner; or spiritualist to spiritualist). This is most dangerous.
Find someone that you feel safe with, who is able to guide you, and divine for you. Sometimes people with power can misuse it, and those with no access to power can confuse you. First you need to know your inner spirit does not like it when you wander about. Settle with who your spirit settles with. It knows the dangers of landing in front of the wrong person that is not suited for you and it understands that opening up yourself to just anyone can attract malevolent energies or it can dim your own inner Light.
Also the wrong person can swap your destiny, intentionally or unintentionally.
Why? Because you can land into a place where the environment may be spiritually fixed in a way that is incompatible with your own purity or spirit. So instead of going there to get a problem solved, you can leave with more problems.
With the influx of TikTok and Instagram diviners appearing everyday because a pack of tarot is cheap, I’m sad. Because humanity does not know the doors that they are opening with these things that they play with. But the problem with choosing an incompetent diviner is attracting more problems than you had before.
Kudos to the good and competent ones out there, but let’s be honest– many people use spirituality as a hustle. Many are not chosen. And there is a reason… the chosen don’t want this work. They don’t run into it. They doubt themselves.
Many competent diviners sigh when they have to read because it is an energy exchange. They have to be strong enough to carry your burdens. They have to be strong enough to detach from the problems they encounter everyday. They have to be able to heal themselves from the big load of spiritual illness that you have just left at their door.
There’s so much to say, but I’ll stop here.
I’m writing this just to help some of you find a good and competent diviner to help you when you need it, because a person can be good at seeing, but they have no ethics. Listen, when I started this work and was directed to give people baths, my flat flat tummy started to grow. I said, “where is this belly coming from?” little did I know, I was absorbing people’s problems. They all left with flat bellies and I was left looking 9 months pregnant.
Receiving divinations, or spiritual consultation, is just as important as getting a physical checkup. You check your physical body, but it is also very important to check on your life spiritually, what is happening now and what is to come. As a matter of fact– it is so great, the spiritual consultation could be the one to tell you to go and check on your health.
If it wasn’t important, God would not have sent Oracles to this world from time immemorial.
Look for guidance and be wise.
