3 Excellent Incense To Use When Starting Your Spiritual Journey (And What They Do)

Greetings to one and all. I figure that I should write a post on a few excellent incense to use specifically because so many people in today’s age (and to come) are showing signs of embracing their spirituality, and a desire to open their consciousness to receive from the Universal Library.

I realize that many people make use of spiritual tools as if going to a shop and buying random sweets. But it is important to know that some things used can open some doors and call into being things that can not be managed or handled in the physical world, or by those who have no understanding of the power associated with certain tools.

I have written on the topic of Incense before in much detail, but I believe that the journey into spirituality is important when you have the tools to journey with. When I was waking up many years ago, I did not have a “me” to guide me into the things I now guide you all into.

When a person has embraced their spirituality in some way, or has created an altar or a sacred space for spirits or guides, one of the first things that must be done to consecrate or to transform that space into a sacred one, is the burning of incense.

So in this post I will tell you 3 excellent types of incense to use that are great as a connection to your Non-Physicals.

The burning of incense will bring forth, in non-physical form, high spirits/forces that you will not be able to see or perceive but know that the incense itself has attracted them into your space. These forces in their non-physical forms are Beings of Light that are for the benevolence or for the goodness of humankind, and so it is not dangerous for a beginner to use these incense at the beginning stage of his development.

1. Frankincense

Frankincense

This incense is as old as time and is very powerful, and writing about it seems repetitive but there is so much for you to know about it and I will lend some of what I know here.

Frankincense is a resin often burned with myrrh, but as I have already written (in this post) that both should not be burned together. The reason why something as old or ancient as Frankincense would be good for a beginner to use is because of that – it is ancient. The Beings of Light that work along with it are Elders who want the development of the human mind to grow to higher consciousness.

Around the world Frankincense is used as apart of spiritual baths, others will also boil it and drink it along with other ingredients for healing, and it is also used in spiritual charms and protection if made and carried upon your person, or burned as kohl to line the eyes (as is done in Africa and the Middle East).

Frankincense is so widely used because it is so old in spirituality and its power is magical in the results that it yields. Frankincense itself carries a purity that protects, heals, removes negativity instantly, calls good spirits into your presence as soon as it is lit that protects not only you but also your environment from harmful and destructive forces.

Frankincense is gentle enough for beginners, but even those who have been walking this road for a long time should never stop using it.

Now, there is something to consider when using Frankincense. It should not be used daily, as some people believe it should, despite its gentleness and purity. The reason for this is that it is such a powerful incense that once it is introduced into your space, its residual will remain in the space up until a year before it dwindles away. What I mean by “residuals” is not the odor or the resin, but the forces that it has called at its inception will stay in the environment for a very long time and to burn this resin too often will disrupt the natural activity of the first set of Non-Physical Beings that came with the first burning.

How To Use:

Frankincense alone should be burned on top of very hot coal all throughout the house or compound, and then placed in the incense burner, either on the ground or on the table to remain where the specific area you intend to consecrate will be. Using it this way is if you are using it for a sacred space.

However, if you intend to use it for cleansing, it should be used twice a year for 6 months.

2. Orange Peel Incense

Now this is something that I have never shared before, and I actually don’t know why I am sharing it with you now, perhaps I share too much, but this is an old knowledge given to me by Non-Physical Beings many many years ago, so let me instruct you as they had instructed me.

Orange peel is an incense that is excellent because of the natural energies that it calls forth, dealing with nature spirits. The citrus scent that it gives off holds a particular key to certain celestial divinities that lends their energies and powers to the human who has the key to access them.

Using Orange Peel incense gives the user pleasant dreams, visions and visitations in ways of instructions and teachings, which is excellent for growing along your spiritual course.

One of the things that should be done with all incense that I am speaking of, is not only burning the house out but also passing the incense over the body and even over the body of the animals in the home.

How to Make and Use Orange Peel Incense:

Purchase 3 oranges, the best looking, unblemished, ones that you can find. It does not matter if it is green or bright orange in its color, as long as it is an orange. It should be peeled by your hand, not a machine as people do today, and the pieces should be hung out to dry. Now I know you will ask the question in your mind and I will answer it here: Yes, you can eat the orange.

But from now on, I would advise you to save the seeds and have them dried too! I will explain this in another post.

When the orange is dried, the orange should be cut, shredded or pounded. If you are curious to know which of the options is best, I would say pounding, because exerted energy and effort lends power to the incense. After making a poultice out of the dried peels, wait one day before placing it into a dry container and leave it uncovered. There will be a magnificent aroma already starting to spread throughout your environment from this action.

The next day, except for Saturdays (do not burn on Saturdays), burn the peel pieces on an incense pot throughout the home or space. Always begin from the back of the house and end at the front.

Another great use of this incense is for anyone who is about to go on an interview, or a journey, or for anyone who wants to achieve something that is good and beneficial to their lives, they should pass this incense over the clothes that they intend to wear to undertake this journey. Do this while not wearing the clothes.

*Now I want to add that there is an additional ingredient that is to be added to this incense to make it potent and complete. But I will like you to tell me what I have left out here. Allow your spirit to speak to you.

Note: Please do not prepare this incense if you are menstruating or unclean in anyway (see this post).

3. Sandalwood Incense

Sandalwood is an excellent incense with a very special effect. But the reason this incense is good for beginners is because of the energy that it carries. The Non-Physical presence that it brings forth is benevolent and assists in elevating the consciousness of the human.

Some other types of incense bring forth Non-Physical energies that are very powerful, and while not “malevolent”, the power that they bring to the space that they are called to may be too overwhelming for the consciousness that resides there (Sulphur is one of such types).

Sandalwood, however, can be used on its own or paired with other incenses such as Frankincense, but this pairing can be for particular reasons which I may share in a class on incense.

Sandalwood is particularly special in the Beings that work with it. I, personally, have experienced particular exotic Non-Physical Beings that are indescribable to the human mind, but are for the benefit of humankind. These energies are ancient and bear an otherworldly “beauty” to them. There is a healing power associated with the burning of this incense especially when it is paired with some others, or when the environment it is introduced into is pure. This means when Sandalwood is burned in a clean space it quickly rises the frequency of that space.

It also has the ability to remove unwanted guests from your environment. Let’s say for instance there is a traitor in the home, burning Sandalwood subtly moves this person out.

Now, there’s something important for you to know here because of this statement that I have just presented. Do not intentionally burn Sandalwood for this reason, because it may remove the person that you love the most, not knowing that this person is the betrayer in your life. Your intent must always be pure and without any agenda when using certain knowledge, or else it can work against rather than for you.

People, I have given you information that you may not find elsewhere, even though I do not know who you are reading this blog. But I always try to my best never to give anything that will not be beneficial to you. I do, however, implore you all to be wise in all your undertakings, to be merciful as you journey along life’s way, to be selfless in everything that you do, and to teach from your experiences and pass along knowledge.

And lastly, to love more than what you, yourself, has ever experienced.

The information I give on this blog is for the benefit and upliftment of humankind and is given because of love. Regardless of how you feel about me, or these words, always know that I love you all.

I only do two incense Frankincense and Sandalwood- I actually use Frankincense on my altar and throughout my house on coal- I burn out the last bit at my front door- I also let the smoke of it cover my body whenever I take a cleaning bathe- Sandalwood I buy here and there in stick form- sometimes they come from didn’t part and they smell differently so I am picky on where I get them– On the matter of Orange peels- in Jamaica you would often see people throw out orange peels in their yard – someone I overheard once… Read more »
