Mi have a highly sensitive nose suh yuh know mi find this very interesting. I keep a bottle of Florida Water with me at work for all the reasons stated above – wi nuffi tek it simple at all.
I can even recall a couple years ago, mi head guided mi to mix Florida water and some other ingredients an wipe dung mi desk etc at work. Mi neva question it, mi jus trust an obey.

There is a souvenir that I got in Cologne, Germany,
it name 4711. It was sold in every likkle store in the city. Suh mi reach back a Jamaica an guh inna ah candle shop (yes one of those) an see it a sell. Mi frighten cause mi a wonder how mi German souvenir ketch inna spirituality. The lady working in the store informed me that the scammers use it a lot. Yuh ever hear bout dat one?

I understand the light/vs dark liquid and makes sense that I’m usually instructed to put out white rum/milk/sweet milk for my ancestors and light visitors. What about beer? Thank you for this post Obara. This blog was the first place I ever heard of Florida Water. I’ve never used it, let alone knew much of its uses, but I will try and get some and apply some of the knowledge that you have shared.

Its uses seem to be very versatile indeed.

I also didn’t know fragrance had such an impact. I always thought what made sage, frankincense and myrrh work was due to what they were made up of and not the actual smell.

Speaking of smell, I was always told that there is a specific tree/plant that emits a smell if spirits are present and I just want to know if this is true? Also does this smell add/subtract to the presence of a spirit? In other words, would the smell emitted by the plant make the spirits present stronger/weaker?

Great post. Now I understand why fragrance is been use in some spiritual work. I always wonder why my Vanilla Fragrance was included in some spiritual works I did in the past. Also the use of some certain soap alongside Palm wine to bath. The smell though but the result was effective. Now I understand it all. Thank you OBARA.

I always have florida water in my car in a spray bottle- whenever I go out in a crowded area or around people I dont feel their vibe I spray a few pumps as I get in my car-
In my house when I feel things are off I spray good old white rum and drop a few drops at the front and rear door-

How so we know real from fake Florida water ?

I use to see Florida water and Bay rum around our house and in friends houses but never new its purpose. I always new that people of colour have a deep connection to spirit but as generations pass we become less connected because the knowledge is not passed on.
Thank you Sis Obara in this act of love that you share with us by teaching through stories of your experiences and embedding us with knowledge.
I used Florida water recently and immediately i felt uplifted and encouraged. As we celebrate the season and usher in a new year i wish us all Peace Love and Blessings and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

Good day folks- Just to add to Obara posted for aiding us into the new Year, make sure you clear your house and office of anything old and not in use. Clean your floors, windows, baseboards even your door so everything is clear and fresh.
Last two days I have cleaned all my windows, blinds, floors and did a thorough vacuuming.
Will be burning some incense to usher in the new Year.

Thank you my dear Mahalia. Initiation to Egbe is the best way of renegotiating the contract you have with them (please know that “initiation” is not actually what is happening in the case of Egbe. You are not being inducted into anything. The better word to use would be “receiving” Egbe). However, one can patch things up in the meantime, and by this I mean propitiating them. Of course, not by yourself but through a competent person (Babalawo or Iyanifa) who has the knowledge to do so.
It is important to point out that Egbe is not Orisha, but your Astral Mates, and like it or not, they must be attended to.

To go into Jagun and Egbe Eleeko is to go into depths of this where Egbe initiations is concerned and most people here would not get what it all is about, also if persons are not practioners there is no need and frankly this may be for classes I will do one day on the subject, but only to people spiritually advanced, Jagun must be present at any or all Egbe initiations, and this information is good enough for now., Eleeko, I will not touch on here. This post really struck a nerve with me and will have to read it a couple times but so much more makes sense. My enemy has had an issue with bottling up things and no matter how I try to say I’m thinking positively the subconscious hasn’t been clear n sadness or anger brings everything to the fore.

On the part of relationships and friendships my event has always been loner, can’t seem to maintain friendships unless there’s physical distance, relationships never worked etc, the last guy I dated shared birthday with the last guy I was in a relationship with years before, when he told me his DOB, I knew something was off n it felt like I was in that previous relationship all over again.
