I am new to this site. Thank you for your teachings. I am interested in Yoruba and am thinking about being initiated. Do you have to be initiated to set up altars in your home and propitiate, worship and serve Orishas?

Teach, one teeny tiny question. Teacher, in Jamaica you have people that are Christians and normally preach on the road (eg Down Town under the big Tree). They can ‘predict’ things for you, never read. Sometimes they are very accurate. Do you call these persons Spiritualist or Diviners. Are they working with Orishas and lastly were does this ‘gift’ comes from?
These are warners,and it matters not their religion or lack of it is a gift. All Gift comes from the creator, but in cases like these, they may be getting messages from on physical beings we call messengers!

Normally, I don’t watch movies when everyone’s rushing to the theaters. Well, I just finish watching the movie about the football star who was adopted. I LOVED it! and it falls into so many ranges of life, chances and time, but most of all the human spirit and heart.
