Welcome Charlotte Brown, you can set up your altar and worship the Orishas even before initiation
I am new to this site. Thank you for your teachings. I am interested in Yoruba and am thinking about being initiated. Do you have to be initiated to set up altars in your home and propitiate, worship and serve Orishas?

We will deal with this subject one day, my husband will do a video explaining this! Abiku: The Yoruba believe that after death we are continuously reborn back into our families. However, Abiku (meaning “born to die” or “destined to die”) are spirits who disrupt the natural cycle of consanguineal reincarnation. Abiku are spirits who invade the bodies of unborn children in order to be born into the world only to desert the body soon after birth leaving the body to die. Happy Birthday Little “M”…blessings and prosperity, little one.
My fambo, everyone that signs on today. Please send up some prayers for my baby, Little M. Today is her birthday and I am not with her.
Hey Teach and Cami. Wad up mates? Hope all is well. I am having a bit of discomfort, but its nothing that will kill me today.
Teach, one teeny tiny question. Teacher, in Jamaica you have people that are Christians and normally preach on the road (eg Down Town under the big Tree). They can ‘predict’ things for you, never read. Sometimes they are very accurate. Do you call these persons Spiritualist or Diviners. Are they working with Orishas and lastly were does this ‘gift’ comes from?
These are warners, and it matters not their religion or lack of it is a gift. All Gift comes from the creator, but in cases like these, they may be getting messages from on physical beings we call messengers!
lol…Obara you are too kind..MUAH)))love you. I’m in a bubbly mood.
Normally, I don’t watch movies when everyone’s rushing to the theaters. Well, I just finish watching the movie about the football star who was adopted. I LOVED it! and it falls into so many ranges of life, chances and time, but most of all the human spirit and heart.
Obara, have you ever seen it? I wonder if Michael was Leigh’s child in a past life.
