I am slowly realizing that not many people read the posting that I write daily, that hurts, they are after the comments. I dedicatedly sit and do this everyday, and I think I bring good subjects often times to the table, am I wrong? real question, please answer me, truthfully. I really look forward to our interactions daily. The peepers are many, but that is all they are, peepers. Recently one peeper had the nerve to email me for the words for my poem which I wrote when I was eleven years old entitled “Spike Heel Boot”. I wrote half of the lyrics on the Honorable Louise Bennett post, she peep and ah send mi email fi Miss Lou poem (my own enuh), when I clearly wrote on the post that I wrote it, and want lyrics to other works of Miss Lou. She never comment here yet, but waan come reap, bright an outta order! oonuh must read the posts!
It takes courage to bawl out smaddy whey waan teef mi lyrics and nuh business! It takes courage to get every morning when you want to sleep and write these post with dedication, (lol, I am throwing shade at you all, ah so mi tan). It takes courage to do many things in this life, and so I urge you all to share your courageous moments with me today, or add to this post.
Courage Reposted -by Obara Meji
It takes courage to make Spiritual decisions. It takes courage to face the worlds challenges everyday. It takes courage to adjust your lives. It takes courage to stand up for yourself, in a world which is so critical of you. It takes courage to continue daring for better, and actively pursuing it. It takes courage to love. It takes courage to forgive. It takes courage to release and let go. It takes courage to make sacrifices. It takes courage to embrace anything which society believes is not the norm. It takes courage to learn to drive. It takes courage to go back to school. It takes courage to raise your hand in class. It takes courage to tell someone you love them and mean it. It takes courage to believe that you are loved. It takes courage to ignore the frailties of the world. It takes courage to let others know that you read this blog. It takes to be yourself, which at times is the hardest to do. It takes courage to have a voice and use it. It takes courage to not give into fear. It takes courage to cut your loses and get on with your life. It takes courage to step through the front door.
It takes courage to admit your flaws or your faults. It takes courage to see your inner beauty and strength, looking beyond superficiality. It takes courage to stand up and speak out for another. It takes courage to attack life on behalf of others. It takes courage to be present in your life. It takes courage not to bend to pressure. It takes courage not to make the power of money ruin you. It takes courage to leave a toxic relationship. It takes courage to look at being fired from your job as God’s way of telling you that greater is to come. It takes courage to believe that your chaotic life will change one day and all be well. It takes courage to embrace your spirituality. It takes courage to begin a new relationship. It takes courage to move away from your comfort zone and begin life on your own. It takes courage to be a parent. It takes courage to be a single parent. It takes courage to face your detractors. It takes courage to sleep alone, feeling lonely and sad. It takes courage to get a reading, some people don’t want to know. It takes courage to dare to dream higher than what others expect. It takes courage to be defiant in the face of adversity. It takes courage to remove the limitations placed on you because of your race, or ethnicity. It takes courage! It takes courage to own your freedom and explore all your possibilities. It takes courage to let go off your mothers hand. It takes courage to refuse time to non essential activities. It takes courage to stand up to a friend. It don’t mean you are weak if you turn the other cheek, walk away from trouble if you can the song says…It takes courage to walk away from a fight. It takes courage to stand up and speak. It takes courage to sit down and listen. It takes courage not to be a victim of anything. It takes courage to free your mind. It takes courage to step aside. It takes courage to trust. It takes courage to explore and accept things that you learn from the Bible or the Koran or your faith. It takes courage to change. It takes courage to accept change!
“The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”
― Paulo Coelho, Veronika Decides to Die
“Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
― Nelson Mandela
“Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.”
― Victor Hugo
“Courage isn’t having the strength to go on – it is going on when you don’t have strength.”
― Napoleon

Courage, courage, courage. Courage is going after your dreams inspite of what others/anyone thinks. On Saturday Big M came in and was telling a story that an African man was on the bus and he spoke, the ppl heard his accent and took him off the bus. Courage, is being bold in telling my children that they will not get Ebola and it will pass quickly. I heard Little M telling her friend emphatically that we will not get Ebola (cause my mother says so and my knows a lot of things). Yes, her mom learnt her stuff right here… Read more »

I MAKE THE DISCLAIMER, BECAUSE AS a spiritualist I know there is no difference when it comes to color, so as I know better, I can have no hatred, but IT IS THE REALITY, it is a sad reality but it is
I have a very close friend, I told her when she want to have “skin color conversations” to speak to me freely. I rather she ask and talk about what’s on her mind with me than with a person who’ll take offense. She is a sweet person and I would hate for someone to offend her while she seeking answers to questions that people want to take as taboo.
Other than that, 2 bottles of red and we laugh at the stupidity of mankind.
I am not a racist, no way jose! jUST SAD FOR THE TREATMENT FOR HOW LONG AND NO JUSTICE EVEN TO THIS DAY

Too bad you have to make a disclaimer before stating your facts. lolol. But it is what it is…All that sin from the past cannot go unaccounted for, and I cannot understand why the whites prolong this act of supremacy knowing the evil history of it…oh well I guess we’ll see the outcome when we move on from this realm.
I know me and Yw ago share a seat and a buss joke inna de hall a judgement…don’t bro? lolol

Opposite sides of a similar coin.
Look at your avatar’s glasses. It is mine in reverse: upside down and cornea instead of pupil.
Time passages. Indulge me in a little song: “Ooooo girl, things are going to get easier. Oooo child things will get brighter…” Seriously, though, light, love and positive energy to you.

“Happy the man, and happy he alone,
He who can call today his own:
He who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today.
Be fair or foul or rain or shine
The joys I have possessed, in spite of fate, are mine.
Not Heaven itself upon the past has power,
But what has been, has been, and I have had my hour. ” – John Dryden
“Not Heaven itself upon the past has power” – Always curious bout this line….
Thank you bredda YW.
Happy the ooman, and happy she alone,
SHe who can call today her own:
SHe who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today.

Obara Meji: It takes courage to share all that you do with us each and everyday. To all the ES bloggers it takes courage to share your thoughts and beliefs in this amazing forum set up by Teach. By doing so you all become like teachers. Here is a story: I was talking to a man yesterday who was sharing his devout faith in Jesus Christ and the Church. Now, of course, most of what he was saying was like pointed sticks stabbing my eardrums, hot oil on my cranium, and tiny needle sticks all over my skin. However, I… Read more »
