ETERNAL LOVE!!!

My mother and father has been together for very a very long time. While growing up with these two people it was obvious by all that they loved each other very much. My mom would leave to go to work every morning at 5am and my father would accompany her to the bus stop with his Lass (machete), in hand. They did everything together and even when we migrated to America and he came a year later, their love remained strong through phone calls and letter writings. The first time I ever witness my father with tears in his eyes was when we left Jamaica and even though I knew he would miss us all, the tears was mostly for his beloved, my mother. I saw that same love in the eyes of Ryan O’neal when he spoke of Farrah Fawcett, it was real. My parents are alive and well but I worry should anything ever happen to one, would the other survive it.

Love is such a beautiful emotion and it is God’s greatest gift to mankind. Osun the Orisha of Love, Sex, Beauty, Fertility, and many other things has given me Obara Meji to ability to Love and to also see Beauty in all things. I am in Love with Love and am also a hopeless romantic. I still sit and cry while watching love stories. When I saw the movie Titanic, I cried for months, my heart was broken for the couple. Sookie and Vampire Bill is the reason that I watch True Blood the series. If you have been reading my posts you will have seen many times my own definition of love, because I believe that “Love is the single most significant element of happiness”. We all wish that we coud find in this life time some semblance of the perfect love , but some people abuses it when they find it, they take it for granted and then become sorry when it goes. Remember that a fire is kept lit only when it is cared for and nurtured, if  it is ignored, the embers slowly dies. Then the cold sets in, because once there was warmth that was provided by the fire, now that it is gone we shiver at the unwanted cold.
